  • Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic pain for patients

  • Analyzing and interpreting patients’ histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses

  • Developing treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines

Qualifications: 

  • Board eligible or board certified in family or internal medicine

  • Active/unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA registration

  • Accident injury and workers Comp experience

  • Proficient, with a strong attention to detail and patient privacy, when managing patient information and electronic medical records

  • Skilled in basic office computer tasks, including Windows and MS Office and electronic medical records.

  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.

  • Ability to accurately meet all assigned deadlines.

PT/FT BHT

Part-Time/Full-Time Behavioral Health Tech - Residential PHP and IOP Program for substance abuse.

Full-Time: Day Shift (Monday-Friday, 6am-2pm)

Part-Time: Afternoon/Evening Shift and On Call (Monday-Friday, 2pm-9pm)

Part-Time: Weekend Shift (Saturday & Sunday, 9am-3pm)

Apex Recovery is a Day/Night Treatment Program with Community Housing and Intensive Outpatient program that provides rehabilitative substance abuse services to those in recovery. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Certified Behavioral Health Technician or as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist in our substance abuse program. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping individuals recover from mental health and substance abuse challenges and a passion for making a positive difference in their lives.

Responsibilities:

-Provide direct support to residents in their daily activities and routines
-Assess residents’ needs and provide appropriate interventions and support
-Document residents’ progress and participation in program activities
-Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure the highest level of care for residents
-Assist with crisis management and de-escalation as needed
-Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for residents
-The ability to drive residents to and from treatment or appointments in a company vehicle
-Complete pre screenings as needed
-Facilitate group session

Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Experience working in a behavioral health or substance abuse treatment setting
-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
-Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends if needed
-Be able to deliver services from a trauma informed perspective
-Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical records. Experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred.

Qualifications:
-Certification as a Behavioral Health Technician from the FL Board, or;
-Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist from the FL Board

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Case Manager or Bachelor’s Level Practitioner to join our team in providing comprehensive care to clients in our substance abuse program. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on case management and will play a critical role in the intake process and supporting clients as they progress through their treatment program.

Responsibilities:

-Provide direct client care and support in a residential setting
-Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
-Facilitate group therapy sessions and activities
-Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
-Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
-Document client interactions and treatment plans
-Maintain client confidentiality and comply with ethical standards
-Connect and link client to community resources

Requirements:
-Experience in a inpatient or outpatient treatment, preferably with a focus in substance abuse
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
-Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
-Understanding of ethical and legal requirements in the field of behavioral health
-Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Medical Director

Day/Night Treatment Program with Community Housing & Intensive Outpatient Services

Apex Recovery is a Day/Night Treatment Program with Community Housing and Intensive Outpatient program that provides rehabilitative substance abuse services to those in recovery. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Director to join our team in providing comprehensive care to clients in our substance abuse program. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus in substance abuse and mental health and will play a critical role in supporting clients as they progress through their treatment program.

Responsibilities:
-The Medical Director will certify/recertify the need for the patient to partake in the services, drugs, and biologicals, and to approve the appropriate plan of treatment.
-This position is designated to oversee all medical services of Apex Recovery and has been given the authority and responsibility for medical care delivered by Apex Recovery.
-The Medical Director must meet at least twice a year with the risk management and quality assurance program of the facility to review incident reports, grievances, and complaints to identify and implement processes to reduce clinical risks and safety hazards.
-The Medical Director shall have overall responsibility for the following:
-1. Medical services provided by the program;
-2. Oversight of the development and revision of medical policies, including:
-a. The means for the detection and referral of health problems through medical surveillance and regular examination;
-b. Implementation of medical orders regarding treatment of medical conditions;
-c. Reporting of communicable diseases and infections in accordance with federal and state laws;
d. Procedures and ongoing training for routine medical care, specialized services, specialized medications, and medical and psychiatric emergency care;
-Facilitate and lead group

Requirements:
-Doctorates degree and active license to practice
-Experience in inpatient or outpatient setting, preferably in substance abuse and mental health
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
-Understanding of ethical and legal requirements in the field of mental health
-Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
-Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical records. Experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist, Psychiatric ARNP, or Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join our team in providing comprehensive care to clients in our substance abuse program. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus in substance abuse and mental health and will play a critical role in supporting clients and triaging as they progress through their treatment program.

Responsibilities:
-Provide direct medical care and support to clients
-Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and biological testing
-Contribute to individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
-Prescribe and manage medications
-Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
-Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
-Document client interactions and treatment plans
-Maintain client confidentiality and comply with ethical standards
-Facilitate group sessions

Requirements:
-Master’s degree or Doctorates Degree
-Active license to practice
-Experience in inpatient or outpatient setting, preferably in substance abuse
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills

-A psychiatric ARNP must have education or training in psychiatry and be authorized to provide these services in accordance with Chapter 464, F.S., and protocols filed with the Florida Board of Nursing.
-A Psychiatric PA must be a licensed prescribing physician assistant as defined in Chapter 458 or 459, F.S., with a Psychiatric Certificate of Added Qualification.

The ideal candidate will have a strong focus in substance abuse and mental health and will play a critical role in supporting clients as they progress through their treatment program, and leading the clinical team.

Responsibilities:
-Conduct assessments and participate in the intake/admissions process
-Complete mental health status exams when necessary
-Draft, review, and sign individualized treatment plans and collaboration with multidisciplinary team
-Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
-Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
-Document client interactions and treatment plans
-Maintain client confidentiality and comply with ethical standards
-Facilitate group sessions
-Lead the clinical team and review/reinforce documentation and services

Requirements:
-Master’s degree and active license to practice
-Experience in inpatient or outpatient setting, preferably in substance abuse
-Experience with leading a clinical team and conducting weekly team meetings
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills

-Conduct assessments and screenings

-Document client interactions and treatment plans
-Maintain client confidentiality and comply with ethical standards
